The Abstracta Stitch Floor Freestanding Upholstered Acoustic Room Divider is a freestanding acoustic divider for offices and workspaces that need defined separation without a fixed installation. Designed by Stefan Borselius, it combines fabric upholstery with a grey-and-black appearance, giving teams a practical way to shape more focused zones.

The Stitch Floor uses an upholstered fabric surface to create a visually softer alternative to a hard room partition. As an acoustic room divider, it is intended to help organise sound-conscious work areas while also marking a clear boundary between adjacent activities.

Its grey and black colour combination fits professional interiors that need a restrained, neutral palette. The two-tone appearance can support a coordinated office scheme without introducing a dominant colour block, making the Abstracta Stitch Floor Freestanding Upholstered Acoustic Room Divider suitable for spaces where visual calm matters.

Stefan Borselius is the designer behind the Stitch collection, bringing a considered furniture-design approach to a functional workplace element. The collection identity gives the divider a more distinctive design presence than an anonymous screen while retaining its practical room-separation role.

The freestanding construction is the key practical advantage: the divider can stand independently as a room-planning element rather than relying on a specified wall or desk mounting system. This makes it relevant when an office layout needs a separate zone, a temporary-looking boundary, or a flexible way to organise open space.

Its proportions are taller than they are deep, creating a substantial vertical screen while keeping the profile visually slender. That balance is useful in open-plan offices, collaborative work areas and other professional environments where separation is needed without making the divider feel like a bulky piece of furniture.

The model has a broad floor-standing format that can define a meaningful section of a room. Use it to distinguish work settings from circulation or shared areas, while keeping the configuration independent of a particular desk arrangement.

The fabric construction gives the divider a textile finish rather than a rigid exposed surface, which helps it sit comfortably alongside upholstered office furniture. It is a suitable choice for buyers looking for a grey or black fabric acoustic partition for a contemporary workplace, provided the intended setting benefits from freestanding placement.

For a home office, meeting-related area or open-plan workplace, the product offers a clear visual tool for separating functions within one room. It can help communicate where focused work or a more defined activity takes place, while its acoustic category addresses the need to consider sound when planning the environment.

Abstracta identifies the Stitch Floor as circular, an important product characteristic for purchasers who include circular considerations in their furniture selection. The product’s origin is available on request, allowing buyers to request that information when evaluating procurement requirements.
