Plan the table around how your team meets

Start with the number of people who need to sit comfortably and the way the room will be used. Six-person configurations can work well in smaller meeting rooms, project spaces and regular team check-ins. Eight-person models provide more room for shared documents, presentations or occasional guests. For larger meetings, the ten-person rectangular option offers a longer work surface and is suited to a more substantial boardroom layout.

Room proportions also matter. A long rectangular table can make efficient use of a narrow room, while the 240 × 140 cm oval model can create a more open visual flow and reduce the emphasis on a head position. Measure the available floor area, including space needed to pull chairs out and move around the table, before selecting a format.

Rectangular tables

The rectangular models cover several depths and lengths, including 200, 240 and 300 cm widths and depths of 80, 90, 100 or 120 cm. This makes them useful when the room has a specific footprint or when you want a conventional meeting-table arrangement. Depending on the configuration, seating is listed for six, eight or ten people.

Oval tables

The oval configuration measures 240 × 140 cm and is listed for eight people. Its curved ends can support a more informal meeting atmosphere while maintaining a generous shared surface for laptops, papers and presentation materials.

Check materials, colors and cable planning

Surfy Hub table tops are available in laminated surfaces, with melamine and HPL listed among the material options. Surface colors include black, grey and white. The bases use metal or steel and can be specified in black, grey, blue, green, red or white, depending on the available configuration.

If meetings involve power or wired equipment, check whether the selected model is suitable for a cable tray. The collection information indicates cable-tray compatibility, but the tray itself is not included. Cable access should therefore be confirmed as part of planning rather than assumed to be supplied with the table.
