The Cappellini MU Side Table Square Top Table is a compact side table for interiors that need a separate surface beside seating. Designed by Giulio Cappellini, it combines a square top with a column frame and a matt black lacquered structure. Its distinctive top finish, blue with aluminium fragments, sets it apart from a plain-finish occasional table.
The square top gives this Cappellini side table a clear, defined surface, while its compact proportions suit placement beside a chair or sofa without the broader footprint of a larger table. The column frame keeps the support visually central, making the table a considered choice when the top needs to remain the focus.
The product specifications identify oak as the tabletop material and describe the top finish as blue with aluminium fragments. These details bring together a named natural material and a decorative surface treatment; the listed surface colors also include wood, blue and white. The structure is finished in matt black lacquer, providing a distinct contrast with the top.
This table is not adjustable, so its height and configuration remain fixed rather than adapting to different seating or tasks. It is also not linkable to other tables, which makes it best suited to use as an individual side surface instead of part of a connected table arrangement.
The table is suitable for a cable tray, but a tray is not included. That compatibility gives buyers the option to plan for cable management separately where needed, while avoiding the assumption that cable storage comes with the table. Bluetooth control is not included.
As a side table, the MU provides a nearby place for everyday items without taking the role of a larger work or dining table. Its square shape and decorative top make it relevant where a functional surface is also expected to contribute to the interior’s visual composition. The black structure offers a contrasting base beneath the top.
Giulio Cappellini designed the table in 2019. For buyers comparing occasional tables, the practical distinctions are its fixed configuration, single-table format and cable-tray compatibility. The product carries a two-year warranty, giving purchasers a stated period of coverage alongside the design and material information.
