The Cappellini Upward-Opening Matt Lacquered Cabinet Door is a door for Cappellini storage cabinets, designed by Studio Cappellini. It pairs an upward-opening configuration with a matt lacquered finish and a choice of beige, white, grey or black. A cylinder lock is specified, making it a practical option when you want a cabinet door that can be locked.
The upward-opening format provides access through the cabinet front without a side-swinging door. This makes the opening direction an important part of choosing the right cabinet door for your layout, particularly when you want the door to open upwards rather than across the space beside the cabinet.
This is a cabinet door, not a complete storage unit, so choose it as part of a compatible Cappellini cabinet configuration. Its role is to cover the cabinet opening and provide access to the storage behind it; the specified cylinder lock adds a way to secure that cabinet contents when the door is closed.
The matt lacquered surface gives the front a non-gloss appearance. Choose beige, white, grey or black to suit the colour scheme of the surrounding storage; these options let you select a neutral or darker finish without relying on a shiny surface to define the cabinet front.
Cappellini identifies the cabinet material as metal, while the door finish is specified as matt lacquered. Together, these details help you assess the door as part of a metal storage cabinet with a restrained, finished appearance. The product data does not specify cleaning instructions, so follow the care guidance for the cabinet system rather than assuming a particular cleaning method.
The cylinder lock is useful when cabinet contents need to be kept behind a lockable door. A handle is not specified, so the front remains without a listed handle; check the cabinet configuration and opening method before ordering if you need a particular way to grip or operate the door.
This Cappellini cabinet door is intended for enclosed cabinet storage, not for acoustic treatment or hanging-file storage: the product data specifies no acoustic function and no hanging folder frames. Those details help set expectations when comparing storage options for a workplace or other cabinet setting. If your priority is an upward-opening, matt-finished door with a cylinder lock, this model brings those specified features together in one Cappellini component.
