The Götessons Design Group SMS-Box mobile storage box is a freestanding, fabric-covered metal cabinet for people who need movable, lockable storage in an office setting. Its defining combination of Mica fabric, a cylinder lock and castors lets you reposition the unit while keeping stored items inside a lockable cabinet.
The SMS-Box pairs a metal cabinet with a Mica fabric covering, bringing a textile finish to a practical storage unit. This combination can suit workspaces where a plain metal cabinet would feel visually stark, while still providing enclosed storage rather than open shelving.
Choose from grey, blue, green or white to coordinate the storage with the surrounding office furniture. These color options make it easier to select a restrained neutral or introduce a more noticeable color accent without changing the cabinet’s function.
The unit has a compact, square footprint and an upright profile, making it a useful option when you want a defined storage piece without a broad cabinet shape. It is freestanding, so it does not require wall mounting; position it where it is useful and move it as your layout changes.
Castors make the cabinet movable, which is helpful when storage needs to shift between work areas or when you are rearranging a room. Its black wheels are part of the design, and the mobile format means you can move the storage unit rather than carry it.
A cylinder lock provides a way to lock the cabinet, giving you a place for items you do not want left openly accessible. The product has no hanging folder frames, so it is better suited to general enclosed storage than to filing documents in suspended folders.
The Götessons Design Group SMS-Box mobile storage box can be considered for an office, meeting area or home office when a freestanding, lockable cabinet on castors fits the need. Its fabric covering gives it a softer visual finish than an uncovered metal storage cabinet, while its mobility supports flexible placement.
This is not an acoustic storage product, so choose it for movable, lockable storage rather than sound absorption. For buyers comparing compact mobile cabinets, the combination of fabric-covered metal construction, a cylinder lock and castors is the central distinction to weigh against their storage and room-layout needs.
