König + Neurath Cubix A Grundelement Base Element

König + Neurath Cubix A Grundelement Base Element

The König + Neurath Cubix A modular seating element is a plywood base unit for buyers building a seating arrangement from individual components. This version has no seat cushion or upholstery, and comes with glides and connectors. Its simple, fixed design suits projects where a modular wood-based seat is needed without built-in adjustment or casters.

Cubix A Modular Seating Design

As a base element in the CUBIX.A collection, this unit is intended to be used as part of modular seating rather than as an adjustable office chair. The included connectors support joining it into a seating arrangement, while the glides provide a non-rolling setup. This makes it a considered option when the seating layout should stay in place rather than move on casters.

The body is made from plywood, with a wood-colored base, giving the element a wood-based appearance without upholstered fabric. Because the seat cushion is not included, the surface is not presented as padded or soft seating. Buyers should account for that distinction when choosing elements for a space where extended seated comfort is a priority.

Fixed, Unupholstered Configuration

This base element has no mechanism and no adjustable seat height, back height, or seat depth. It also has no lumbar support or headrest. That straightforward configuration may suit a shared seating plan where users do not need individual ergonomic adjustments, but it is not a substitute for a task chair designed to adapt to one person.

There are no wheels, so the element is not configured for rolling between work areas. Its glides and connectors instead support a more settled modular arrangement. The König + Neurath Cubix A seating element can therefore be considered for planned seating layouts where a fixed position and a cushion-free specification meet the project brief.

Planning and Product Details

The listed maximum ballast is 135 kg, providing a reference when checking the unit against project requirements. A two-year warranty is specified, and the product is marked as circular; no further details about circularity or applicable standards are provided. Its country of origin is available on request.

For office-furniture buyers, the key choice is whether a plywood base without upholstery fits the intended use. This element can form part of modular seating in a professional interior, but the product data does not specify a particular room type, acoustic effect, cleaning method, or comfort rating. Confirm any project-specific requirements before selecting it, especially if cushioning, adjustability, or mobility is essential.
