Thonet B 20 A Couchtisch Coffee Table

Thonet B 20 A Couchtisch Coffee Table

The Thonet B 20 A Couchtisch Coffee Table is a low, square coffee table from Thonet’s B 20 collection, for buyers furnishing a seating area with a defined surface for everyday use. Its distinguishing combination is a square top, a metal base with a chrome finish and a clear-lacquered beech real-wood veneer surface.

Square top and metal base

The square tabletop gives the table a balanced footprint, while its low proportions make it suitable for use as a coffee table alongside seating. The top is specified as beech with a clear lacquer, so the wood’s appearance remains central to the design rather than being described as an opaque color finish.

A metal base provides the supporting structure, and its chrome finish creates a distinct contrast with the beech top. This pairing can help buyers coordinate the table with interiors that combine wood surfaces and metal details, without relying on a single all-wood or all-metal look.

Thonet B 20 finish options

Product information lists a broad range of tabletop surface colors, including wood, transparent, neutral and brighter color families. Base color choices are also listed, including neutral and red options. These are presented as available surface and base colors; the specified finish for this table describes a clear-lacquered beech top and chrome-finished frame.

The B 20 A is not linkable, which matters when planning a layout that depends on tables being joined together. Its square shape can instead be considered as a standalone piece, or arranged separately from other furnishings according to the available space.

Planning and everyday use

The table is suitable for buyers looking for a coffee table in a home or shared seating area. Its proportions give it a low profile, while the square top offers a clear surface for items placed within reach. The product data identifies it as circular, which may be relevant to buyers comparing furniture using that attribute.

The table is suitable for a cable tray, but a cable tray is not included. This distinction helps when planning a setup where cable management is needed: the compatible tray must be considered separately rather than assumed to come with the table. A two-year warranty is specified, and the listed glider configuration is standard without gliders.

Choose the Thonet B 20 A when the priority is a square coffee table with a beech veneer surface, a metal base and a chrome finish. Its collection identity and finish details make it straightforward to assess against the materials and colors already present in the room.
