VARIO M1 Base Element Plinth Base Shelving Unit

VARIO M1 Base Element Plinth Base Shelving Unit

The VARIO M1 Base Element Plinth Base Shelving Unit is a freestanding, low base storage cabinet for offices and workspaces that need compact, lockable document storage. Its plinth base and one-binder-height compartment distinguish it from taller shelving, while the cylinder lock offers a way to keep the compartment closed when contents should not remain openly accessible.

Melamine Base Cabinet Design

This VARIO M1 storage unit is made from melamine in a plain, single-colour finish. It is offered in colour families including blue, white, grey, black, beige, yellow, green and red, so you can coordinate the cabinet with an existing office palette or use colour to distinguish storage areas.

The plinth base gives the unit a defined, floor-standing form, and its one-binder-height compartment is intended for low-level storage rather than a tall shelving arrangement. That format can suit spaces where you want a storage surface and compartment close to the floor without adding a full-height cabinet.

Lockable Office Storage

A cylinder lock is included, making this a practical option when stored items should be kept behind a lockable front rather than left in open shelving. The cabinet is described as a freestanding sliding-door cabinet and dresser, offering enclosed storage within a compact base-unit format.

No additional shelves or hanging folder frames are selected for this configuration. The compartment is therefore better suited to binder-height storage than to organising documents in hanging files; check the selected configuration if you need either of those internal fittings.

Where the M1 Unit Fits

The VARIO M1 base-element shelving unit can be considered for office storage in work areas where a low, freestanding cabinet is useful. Its compact height makes it relevant to open-plan offices, meeting rooms or home offices that need enclosed storage without choosing a tall unit. The available width, depth and height configurations allow you to compare options for your intended placement.

This cabinet is not specified as an acoustic product, so it should be selected for storage rather than sound absorption. Choose it when a plinth-base cabinet, a single binder-height compartment and cylinder-lock access match the way you need to store items; choose a different configuration if you require added shelves, hanging-folder frames or an acoustic feature.
