The VARIO M1 Base Unit Single Drawer Cabinet is a VARIO storage cabinet for workplaces that need a simple, low base unit for everyday items. Its defining configuration is one drawer on a plinth, giving you a contained place for supplies without adding shelves or hanging-file storage.
The single drawer keeps frequently used small office items together and out of sight, helping reduce loose belongings around a workstation. Its base-unit format is suited to storage plans built around a low cabinet rather than a taller cupboard.
A plinth forms the cabinet’s base, while the melamine material gives the unit a finished cabinet surface. The product belongs to VARIO’s M1 collection, so it is identifiable as part of that range when planning storage alongside other M1 furniture.
This VARIO M1 drawer cabinet has one drawer and no shelves. That distinction matters when choosing storage: it is intended for drawer-based organisation, not for separating items across open or enclosed shelf levels.
There are also no hanging-file frames, so it is not configured for suspended filing. If your priority is a compact place for everyday supplies in an office or other work area, the single-drawer layout offers a straightforward option; for filing or multi-level storage, look for a cabinet with those features.
The listed colour choices include blue, silver, white, grey, black, beige, yellow, green and red. This range lets you select a neutral shade for a restrained furniture scheme or a more distinctive colour for a visible storage accent, while keeping the same single-drawer configuration.
The product information lists a Nordic Swan Ecolabel and marks the cabinet as circular. These details can help inform a purchase when environmental attributes are part of your selection criteria. The cabinet is not described as acoustic, so it should be chosen for storage rather than sound absorption.
In short, the VARIO M1 Base Unit Single Drawer Cabinet suits buyers who want a melamine base cabinet with one enclosed drawer and a plinth. Its defined configuration makes it easier to compare with other office storage: choose it for contained everyday items, and check that the absence of shelves and hanging-file frames fits the way you intend to organise your workspace.
