The Cassina 836 Armchair is a lounge chair for furnishing office lounge areas with a dedicated, non-adjustable seat. It combines fixed armrests with fabric or leather upholstery and a metal base, and offers a choice of upholstery and base colors. It suits buyers who want lounge seating rather than the adjustable features of a task chair.
The 836 has a fixed seating configuration, so there are no seat-height, back-height or seat-depth adjustments to set up. It also has no lumbar support or headrest. This makes it a more straightforward choice for a defined lounge seating position, but less suitable when the user needs to tailor those features to their posture.
Fixed armrests establish a set arm position rather than allowing adjustment. Consider whether that fixed arrangement fits the intended users and the way the chair will be used before choosing it. The stated maximum load is 135 kg, giving buyers a clear limit to check against their requirements.
Fabric and leather upholstery options let you choose between two distinct material types when specifying the chair. The available upholstery colors include beige, white, grey, brown, yellow, red and purple, making it possible to select a neutral or more noticeable color family to suit the surrounding interior.
The base is metal, with silver, black and red listed as color options; the structure is specified as chrome. These details help coordinate the chair with other furnishings without assuming that every upholstery and base color combination is offered. Choose from the listed options according to the look required for the space.
As a lounge chair, the Cassina 836 Armchair is suited to spaces planned for relaxed, non-task seating. Its broad, square proportions mean it is worth considering the available floor area and neighboring furniture when positioning it. It is a less natural fit for a workstation where adjustable seat settings are important.
The chair is identified as circular, which may matter to buyers considering circular products; further details about what that designation covers are not specified. A two-year warranty is stated. Together, these details help with a practical comparison: assess the fixed seating configuration, choose the upholstery and base appearance, and check the stated load limit and warranty against your needs.
