The Callidus by Wünsche Base Unit Appliance Compartment is a freestanding kitchen storage cabinet designed for workplaces that need a dedicated space for a combination microwave. Its defining feature is the appliance compartment, paired with a compact worktop, making it a practical base unit for a staff kitchenette or office break area.
This Callidus by Wünsche kitchen base unit has a metal cabinet and a compact worktop with a black finish. The worktop gives the unit a defined surface alongside the appliance compartment, helping organise a kitchenette without requiring a separate counter for this area.
The exterior is listed in white, while the worktop is black. The product data also lists a broad range of color families, including neutral, bright, metallic and wood tones; check the selected configuration for its specific finish before ordering.
The appliance compartment is intended for a combination microwave, so the cabinet can provide a designated location for this type of kitchen appliance. The product data identifies the compartment but does not state that a microwave is included, so plan to supply the appliance separately unless the chosen offer specifies otherwise.
A cylinder lock lets you lock the cabinet, which can help control access to items stored inside. This is useful in a shared workplace kitchen where several people use the same facilities, while the freestanding cabinet format offers a standalone storage solution.
The worktop is a compact plate, and the unit has no socket insert or cable pass-through listed. Consider how the microwave will be powered and how its cable will be routed before positioning the cabinet. A hob installation and a sink-side configuration are listed as not possible, so this base unit is intended for appliance storage rather than those kitchen arrangements.
This Callidus by Wünsche storage cabinet is suited to a staff kitchenette, break room or other indoor kitchen area where a combination microwave needs a dedicated base unit. Its freestanding design makes it a distinct piece of kitchen furniture rather than a hanging cabinet, and the compact form can help organise a smaller kitchenette.
The unit is not listed as outdoor-suitable and has no acoustic feature, so it should be chosen as kitchen storage rather than as an outdoor cabinet or sound-control solution. For a shared office environment, its appliance compartment, lockable storage and worktop bring several useful functions together in one freestanding unit.
