Functionals Default Canteen Chair

Functionals Default Canteen Chair

The Functionals Default Canteen Chair is a multipurpose wooden chair for canteens and other shared seating areas. Its key distinction is a simple, unupholstered seat paired with a metal base, giving buyers a direct, fixed-seat option without adjustable parts, armrests or added cushioning.

Wood Seat and Metal Base

The chair combines a wood seat with a metal base, making the materials clear and the design straightforward. With no fabric upholstery, it avoids a padded or textile-covered seat; this is useful when you want a simpler seating surface in a communal dining or work area.

The supplied finish information identifies the seat as dark or brown and lists white and black for the base. These neutral color families can help the chair sit alongside a range of shared-space furnishings, while the wood-and-metal combination provides a distinct contrast between seat and frame.

Fixed Multipurpose Seating

This chair has no mechanism and no seat-height or seat-depth adjustment, so it is best suited to settings where a fixed seating position meets the need. The back height is also non-adjustable, and there is no lumbar support or headrest; buyers looking for customizable ergonomic support should take these limitations into account.

There are no armrests, which gives the chair a simple, unrestricted seating format rather than the supported posture of an armchair. Its maximum ballast is 135 kg, a useful capacity detail to consider when selecting chairs for a shared environment. A two-year warranty is included.

Canteens and Shared Spaces

As a canteen chair and multipurpose chair, this Functionals model is suited to communal seating where a straightforward, non-adjustable seat is appropriate. It can be considered for workplace canteens and other shared areas that need general-purpose chairs, without assuming it offers specialized desk-chair ergonomics.

The chair is marked as circular in the supplied product data. This provides a relevant sustainability consideration for buyers comparing furniture options, although no further details about circular design, materials sourcing or end-of-life handling are specified. Choose it when the priority is a wood seat, metal base and uncomplicated fixed configuration, rather than upholstery or adjustable comfort features.
