The HAY High Table Overhang Table is a high table for two people, designed by John Tree, with an overhang form that distinguishes it from a conventional straight-edged table. Its white laminate tabletop and four-leg metal frame make it a defined option for people seeking a compact shared surface in a home or work setting.
The overhang design gives this HAY high table its defining profile, while the rectangular format provides a shared tabletop for two. It is a considered choice when you want a table with a distinct outline rather than a standard straight-edged design.
The tabletop is white laminate, with melamine specified as its material. This gives the surface a clear, consistent white appearance, while the table’s metal and steel base materials provide a contrasting frame. The legs, apron and corners are specified as anodized aluminium, bringing a coordinated metal finish to the supporting structure.
Listed surface colors include White, Grey, Red, Beige, Transparent and Black, while base colors include Silver, Red, Grey, White, Beige and Black. These are color options, not additional tabletop or frame materials; the stated tabletop material for this configuration is white laminate.
The table is designed for two people and has a high, fixed-height format. It is not adjustable, so it suits buyers who want a set-height table rather than a surface that can be raised or lowered. Its four straight legs provide a straightforward arrangement around the tabletop.
A cable tray can be fitted, which gives you the option to add a separate tray if your setup needs one. The tray is not included, and cable management is not included as a feature, so plan for those requirements separately rather than expecting cables to be managed by the table itself.
The HAY High Table Overhang Table is also marked as circular in the product information, and it carries a two-year warranty. These details help clarify the product’s stated classification and warranty coverage when comparing high tables. The combination of an overhang shape, a two-person capacity and a fixed high format makes it a distinctive shared table choice without adding adjustment or built-in cable-management functions.
