The HAY Slit Round Side Table is a high, round side table designed to provide a separate surface in an office or other interior. Its round oak tabletop, finished in lacquered oak, is paired with a wood panel-leg base. This combination gives the table a distinctive silhouette while keeping its purpose straightforward: a standalone surface close at hand.
The round tabletop offers a clear, simple profile that can sit alongside other furniture without adding a rectangular outline. The oak surface provides a place for items within easy reach, while the high model has a different proportion from a low side table. The wood top and base create a connected material look across the table’s main elements.
A panel-leg frame is a defining part of the Slit Wood design. Rather than using a conventional set of separate legs, the base uses a panel form, visually linking the support to the round top. The table is listed with oak for the top and wood for the base, making its material combination easy to assess when choosing furniture for a room.
As a side table, the Slit Round can add a separate surface to an office setting or another interior. It is not linkable or adjustable, so it is suited to a planned position where its fixed height and standalone format meet the need. It does not offer a configuration that can be extended or adjusted later.
The model is listed as suitable for a cable tray, a useful compatibility detail for setups where cable management is being considered. A cable tray is not included, so it must be sourced separately if needed. The table’s suitability for a tray does not mean that cable storage is built into the product.
Surface and base color choices include a range of tones. Check the selected variant to confirm its specific finish combination before ordering, and consider how that combination will sit with the surrounding interior. The table is part of HAY’s Slit collection and is identified as the Slit Wood variant.
This high-format table may suit buyers looking for a standalone side table with a round oak top and panel-leg base. It is a fixed-height design rather than an adjustable one, and its listed warranty is two years. These details help clarify its intended role: choose it for its high round format, wood materials and independent placement rather than for modular expansion or height adjustment.
