The HAY Slit Side Table is a round wooden side table designed to provide a compact surface with a distinctive panel-leg base. Its wooden tabletop and base give the piece a consistent material character, while the circular form makes it easy to place beside a seat or use as an occasional table. The simple profile suits a range of interiors without relying on a bulky frame or ornate detailing.
The round tabletop provides a practical surface for everyday items and offers an alternative to square side tables. Its shape can sit naturally alongside different furniture layouts, and the compact footprint is useful where a larger occasional table would take up more room than needed. Consider the tabletop size in relation to the objects and seating you plan to place around it.
Wood is used for both the tabletop and base. The base has a lacquered finish, bringing a finished appearance to the panel-leg construction. The supporting panels are a defining part of the design and create a straightforward sculptural profile. This form makes the base visually distinctive while keeping the table suitable for use as an individual side table.
Available color choices allow the surface and base to be selected to suit the surrounding decor. The table is not height-adjustable, so it is best for a fixed-height setup rather than a workspace that requires changing table height. Its round format offers access to the top from multiple directions, making it convenient beside seating.
The Slit Side Table can be used with a cable tray, which may help organize cables when needed; the tray is not included. It is not linkable, so it functions as a standalone piece rather than a unit made to connect with other tables. Choose it for a single nearby surface rather than a modular arrangement.
With a 45 cm width and 45 cm depth, it offers a compact footprint for occasional use. The table is supplied with a two-year warranty. Its round wooden top, panel-leg base and clean profile make it a considered choice for keeping everyday essentials within reach, while its fixed configuration keeps its role simple and clear.
