VARIO Icon A Fixed-Height Melamine Workbench Extension Table

The VARIO Icon A Fixed-Height Melamine Workbench Extension Table is a one-person sit desk for professionals who need an additional work surface in a workbench setup. Its rectangular melamine top, steel base and fixed-height design make it a straightforward extension choice, with several surface and base colors available to coordinate with the surrounding workspace.

Melamine Workbench Design

The rectangular tabletop is made from melamine, giving you a defined surface for everyday desk work. Its listed thickness is designed as part of the table’s solid, consistent profile, while the steel base provides the supporting structure beneath it.

Choose from blue, white, grey, beige, black, red or green for the tabletop, with a silver, white or black base. This range makes it easier to coordinate the extension with existing furniture or establish a distinct color scheme across a work area. The product is also listed as circular and carries the Nordic Swan Ecolabel.

Fixed Height and Cable Planning

This is a fixed-height sit desk, not an adjustable table. That makes it suitable when a set working height is the requirement; it is not the right choice if users need to alternate the desk height. As a one-person extension table, it adds a dedicated surface for an individual rather than serving as a shared multi-user table.

The table is suitable for a cable tray, which can help keep planned cable management compatible with the setup. A cable tray is not consistently specified as included, so check the selected configuration before ordering if you need one supplied with the table. Bluetooth control is not part of the product data, and no electronic height adjustment is specified.

Choosing an Extension Configuration

Multiple width and depth options are listed, allowing you to compare configurations with the space available and the workbench arrangement. Check the dimensions shown for the specific option you select; the model data does not identify a single universal size. The extension subtype makes it a practical way to plan an additional workstation surface, though the available information does not confirm a particular linking mechanism.

Consider the table when your priority is a fixed-height, melamine work surface for one person and you can match its size and finish to the existing workspace. The two-year warranty provides a stated coverage period for the purchase. VARIO’s ICON A collection combines the tabletop and steel base in a choice of finishes, while the fixed configuration keeps the decision focused on fit, color and cable-tray planning.
