The HAY Slit Geometric Origami-Inspired Side Table is an occasional table for buyers furnishing a professional workspace or home office who want a sculptural accent. Its oblong Slit design pairs geometric, origami-inspired form with a metal panel-leg base, giving it a distinctive profile compared with a plain side table.
The Slit collection’s folded, origami-inspired look makes the table’s shape its defining feature. That graphic form can add visual interest beside existing furniture without relying on a complex arrangement or decorative accessories.
A metal panel-leg base supports the design and gives the table a clear, structured silhouette. The base is listed in a broad choice of colors, including beige, black, white, brown, red, pink, blue and yellow, as well as silver and gold, so buyers can select a tone that coordinates with or contrasts against their room.
A mirror-polished base option offers a reflective appearance for those who prefer a more pronounced finish. The different listed base choices allow the same Slit design to suit varied interior palettes, from restrained neutrals to brighter accent colors.
As a side table, this piece provides an additional surface for an office or home-office setting. Its oblong format gives it a distinct footprint, while the geometric base keeps the overall design visually light and considered.
The table is not adjustable, so its height is fixed rather than configurable. Consider this when choosing a position: it is best suited to a setup where a fixed-height side surface works with the surrounding furniture.
The table is suitable for a cable tray, which can be useful when cable management is part of the planned setup. A cable tray is not included, however, so it needs to be sourced separately if required. The table is also not linkable, making it a standalone choice rather than a unit designed to connect with another table.
This HAY Slit side table is a strong option for buyers who value a recognizable geometric design alongside everyday side-table function. Its metal base, color choices and mirror-polished option provide ways to match the table to a room’s visual direction without changing its distinctive form.
A two-year warranty is included, giving buyers a stated period of product coverage. If you are comparing oblong accent tables for a workspace, the Slit stands out through its origami-inspired design, fixed configuration and choice of base appearance.
