Understand the shelf classification
The “three normal shelves” value identifies a product attribute, but the word normal may not provide a dimension or construction detail. Check the model’s specification, drawings and images to see how these shelves differ from other listed types. Confirm what is included before ordering.
Review spacing and internal clearances against folders, containers or equipment. Do not assume equal compartments or adjustability from the label. If an exact shelf property matters, ask the supplier to confirm it for the selected cabinet.
Verify hanging-file compatibility
The no-frame value indicates that a hanging folder frame is not listed as part of the configuration. It does not say whether an optional frame can be fitted. Check with the manufacturer if compatibility matters to filing or procurement.
If the cabinet will use shelves for documents, review the opening and usable space for the folders planned. Establish a clear arrangement and label categories so users can find and return records without relying on a hanging system.
Plan three levels of storage
Assign a practical purpose to each shelf and compare the largest items with the available space. Keep frequent-use materials within comfortable reach and follow loading advice, especially for heavier contents. Consider whether users can retrieve items without shifting other materials.
For shared storage, define ownership and review categories periodically. Remove obsolete supplies after projects end, update labels when teams change and avoid letting one shelf become an overflow area. This keeps the cabinet useful for current work.
Measure the cabinet and site
Check interior dimensions as well as external fit. Include full door movement, handles and the space users need to approach the cabinet. Review delivery access, assembly requirements and any anchoring instructions before installation.
After setup, confirm shelf stability and access. Make sure the cabinet does not obstruct circulation and that users can reach all levels safely. Retain loading and installation guidance for future room changes or relocation.
