The HAY Chisel 35 Bar Stool High W Backrest H75 Upholstered Bar Stool is designed for raised seating and combines a fabric-upholstered seat and backrest with a lacquered wood base. Its high, fixed configuration makes it suitable for bar-height settings where a supported seat is preferred.
The Chisel 35 pairs fabric upholstery with a wood base, bringing a softer seating surface together with a simple, durable material combination. A backrest provides support behind the sitter. The stool has no armrests, headrest or lumbar support, making it an option for those who want back support without these additional features.
The fabric upholstery is available in a range of colors, including beige, grey, black, brown, green, orange, pink, red and blue. These choices offer several color directions for coordinating the stool with surrounding furniture. The listed information does not specify which upholstery colors are paired with each base finish.
This is a fixed-height stool rather than an adjustable chair. The seat height, back height and seat depth do not adjust, so check that the stool’s fixed configuration is appropriate for the intended counter or bar before choosing it. Its high seating position is designed for raised surfaces, and the height of the surrounding furniture is an important part of the fit.
The base is specified as lacquered wood, and standard gliders are included. The product information does not list a footrest protector. Its stated maximum load is 135 kg, providing a reference when considering the stool for a particular setting.
HAY identifies the product as circular, and the stool comes with a two-year warranty. These details can be considered alongside its materials, fixed fit and stated load limit. The model does not list adjustable positioning, armrests or a footrest protector, so buyers who require those features should take that into account.
With fabric upholstery, a lacquered wood base and a backrest, the HAY Chisel 35 offers an alternative to an unupholstered, backless stool. Consider it when those features and a fixed high seating position suit the needs of your space.
