The VARIO Icon Fixed-Height Fixed-Mounted Seat Stool is a VARIO office stool for workplaces that need a simple, fixed-height seat. Its key differentiator is a melamine seat secured in a fixed-mounted configuration, with a square-cornered shape and no upholstery. It is not height-adjustable, so it suits users who want a consistent seat position rather than a configurable chair.
The square-cornered melamine seat gives this stool a defined, straightforward appearance for office interiors. With no upholstery, there is no fabric covering to coordinate with other furnishings; the seat’s material and shape are clear, practical design details.
A fixed-mounted seat keeps the seating arrangement consistent instead of allowing the seat to move independently. This can be useful where a stable, repeatable setup matters, while the fixed-height design means it cannot be adjusted to suit different users or desk heights. Consider the intended user and work surface before choosing it.
This stool has no adjustable seat height, back height or seat depth, and it has no backrest, lumbar support, headrest or armrests. That makes it a pared-back seating option rather than a fully featured ergonomic office chair. For tasks that require back support, arm support or frequent posture adjustment, choose a chair with those features instead.
The stated maximum load is 135 kg, giving buyers a clear reference when checking suitability for the intended user. The base is available in silver, white or black, so you can select a finish that works with the surrounding office furniture. The stool is supplied without upholstery, keeping the specification focused on its seat and base.
The VARIO Icon stool can be considered for office areas where fixed-height seating is appropriate, including a home office or a shared workplace. Its compact stool format offers an alternative to a chair with a back and arms, while its fixed seat makes it less suitable where several people need to adjust the seating position throughout the day.
VARIO lists the product as circular and provides a two-year warranty. These details offer useful points to consider when comparing office stools, alongside the fixed mounting, non-adjustable height and melamine seat. Check that the fixed seating arrangement suits the room and the tasks before selecting this model.
