HAY Chisel High Upholstered Bar Stool

HAY Chisel High Upholstered Bar Stool

The HAY Chisel High Upholstered Bar Stool is a high, fixed stool from HAY’s Chisel collection, designed for bar-height seating. It combines a lacquered wood base with an upholstered Atlas fabric seat. This straightforward configuration suits spaces where a furniture-style stool is preferred over seating with height or ergonomic adjustments.

The wood base gives the design a clear, natural character, while the fabric-covered seat adds a softer visual contrast. Atlas fabric is the specified upholstery. Seat color options include beige, grey, black, brown, green, orange, pink, red and blue, offering a range of choices for coordinating with a room or adding a contrasting accent. Listed base color options include beige, red, transparent, black, brown, white and green.

The stool has a standard upholstered seat and comes with standard gliders. A footrest protector is not included, so consider the stool’s intended use and the surface beneath it when selecting a location. The product is marked as circular, though further details about what that designation covers are not provided.

This high stool is intended for bar-height seating where a fixed position is suitable. Its seat height, seat depth and back height are not adjustable, and it has no mechanism. It also has no armrests, headrest or lumbar support. The simple setup may work well for occasional or shorter seating, but consider whether a fixed stool meets the needs of anyone who will sit for extended periods. The product information does not specify padding or ergonomic adjustments.

The stated maximum load is 135 kg, and the stool comes with a two-year warranty. These details can help when comparing it with other fixed bar stools and planning its use. No cleaning instructions are specified. Since the design combines fabric upholstery with a lacquered wood base, check suitable care guidance for both materials before cleaning.

Choose the HAY Chisel High Upholstered Bar Stool when you need a high stool with a wood base, fabric upholstery and no height-adjustment mechanism. Its fixed setup and available colors make it a considered option for bar-height seating where a simple, non-adjustable design is preferred.
